Who said the MTB season has to end with the first frost? Certainly not us, and definitely not the Exo'community!
To close the year in style, Exoride launched the Winter Solstice concept: 5 days of intensive shuttles at the end of December. The result? A massive mobilization of riders, Valais trails that were dusty (well, almost!), and an electric atmosphere. Here is a look back at a week that proves, once again, that passion knows no season.
Numbers That Make Your Head Spin
If you thought you were coming for a leisurely post-Christmas ride, you were mistaken. True to our DNA, we set the bar high. Each day of this Winter Solstice was a true marathon of negative elevation:
- Nearly 6000m of descent devoured daily.
- 7 complete runs per day.
- Fluid and optimized rotations thanks to our proven logistics.
This is where experience speaks. Organizing tours and shuttles since 2010 allows us to know exactly where to put our wheels, even in the middle of winter. Our sharp knowledge of the terrain in Valais allowed us to find the best-exposed slopes, guaranteeing exceptional grip far from the snow.
The Winter Solstice Innovation: The Night Run
At Exoride, we always seek to innovate and offer unique adventures. The "twist" of this edition? Taking advantage of the shortest days of the year to turn a constraint into an opportunity.
Each day ended with a 7th run entirely at night. Imagine: a line of headlamps dancing in the forest, senses heightened by the darkness, and maximum concentration. It is a brand new way to rediscover the technical trails of Valais, with an extra dose of adrenaline.
