A guided trip without packing a bag
The camper has been our working tool for fifteen years: it is how we go out and scout the routes. Camp'n'Ride gives you that same freedom, with the guiding and the logistics on top.
You sleep in your own bed
Your bed, your kitchen, your things where you left them, and no bag to unpack every evening. In the morning the bike is already there, and so is the coffee.
A new valley every day
Base camp follows the group: we ride one region, we sleep at the foot of tomorrow's trails, and we never ride the same road twice.
The family can come along
The pitches are chosen for that: villages, beaches, markets. Those who do not ride have plenty to do, and everyone meets up again in the evening.
How it goes
-
8:00
Coffee at camp
Everyone wakes up at home. We meet outside, talk about the day and the weather, and get the bikes ready.
-
9:30
Off we go
Straight from camp whenever possible, otherwise a short shuttle transfer. On an E-Bike the motor swallows the link-ups and saves the battery for the trails.
-
12:30
Break
A picnic high up or a stop in a village, depending on the route and what the group feels like.
-
16:30
Back to camp
Often on a new pitch, a few kilometres away. The vans move, the group comes back together.
-
19:00
The evening
Drinks between the vans, dinner in your own van or all together at the local restaurant. Tomorrow gets decided right there, map on the table.

Upcoming Camp'n'Rides
Departure is guaranteed as soon as the group is complete. If a ride does not gather enough participants, it is postponed or refunded: you lose nothing. The price is per riding participant: those who come along without riding share your van and pay us no supplement.
Regions made for the van
A Camp'n'Ride needs two things: dense trails and well-placed pitches. These are the ones that tick both boxes.
Open departure
Tuscany and Elba
The marble quarries of Carrara, the hills, singletrack above the sea and the red lakes of Elba. Sunshine in spring as much as in autumn.
On request
Aosta Valley
An hour from Orsières, ridges above 2,500 m and side valleys that are still quiet. Mid-June to late October.
On request
Valais
Our own playground: three zones, well-placed pitches and the densest trail network in Switzerland. March to mid-November.
Another region in mind? Describe your plan and we will see what is possible.
The camp moves, the group stays
One week, one region, and every evening a new place to put your feet on the ground.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of vehicle do I need?
A camper, a converted van or a caravan, as long as you sleep in it. No size limit: the pitches we book take the usual formats. Tell us yours when you register.
I do not have a van. Can I still come?
The format assumes you sleep in your own vehicle. If you do not have one, write to us before booking: depending on the dates, we will look together at what is possible on the rental side.
Do I need an E-Bike?
Camp'n'Rides are built around the E-Bike: the motor swallows the link-ups between camps and saves your energy for the trails. Full suspension, 140 to 180 mm. Rental available from us.
What level do I need?
The level is stated on every date, technical and physical: from flowing singletrack to committed riding, over five to six hours on the bike a day. If in doubt, write to us before booking.
How do meals work?
Morning and evening, everyone in their own van, with what they brought or what we picked up at the market. At midday we alternate between picnics and restaurants, depending on the route. Nothing is imposed.
Who books the pitches?
We do, in advance, for the whole group: they are included in the price. The campsite extras (electricity, water and tourist tax) you settle on site.
Can I bring my family or my dog?
Yes to both. The price is per riding participant: those who come along without riding pay us no supplement, they simply share your van. The pitches are chosen so they have things to do, and the dog stays with you at camp while you ride.
What if it rains all week?
The programme adapts: we change side of the valley, shorten a day, shift another. That is the advantage of moving camp and of a guide who decides on the spot.
When do I pay?
At registration, as for our other trips: a deposit online, the balance before departure. The exact percentage is shown on the date you choose.
Can I book a private Camp'n'Ride?
Yes, on the date and in the region of your choice among those we cover. It suits a group of friends or a club well: describe your plan and we come back with a programme and a quote.
Is your van ready?
Next departure: Tuscany | Camp'n'Ride, mon 8 – sat 13 mar 2027, at 990 CHF per riding participant.

The levels, made clear

First tracks
Wide paths, rolling doubletrack, the odd loose rock. MTB without traps, to build pleasure and confidence.
- comfortable on gravel and forest roads
- the word singletrack intrigues you more than it speaks to you
- you are discovering braking on loose ground

Singletrack bliss
Narrow but flowing trails: moderate roots and rocks, wide switchbacks, a few spots where you pick your line.
- you ride singletrack regularly and enjoy it
- tight switchbacks still make you dab a foot sometimes
- you brake hard without locking up in the rocks

Technical ground
Rock gardens, steps, tight switchbacks, off-camber: the terrain demands clean lines and active riding.
- tight switchbacks without dabbing, almost
- 30-40 cm steps do not stop you
- you read the trail several metres ahead

Committed
High mountain, exposed sections, big steps: places where mistakes cost, precise riding is mandatory.
- you ride what many carry
- exposure does not cloud your judgement
- you stay in control on the steep even when tired
Easy
Short outing, minimal climbing: shuttles or lifts do the work, frequent breaks.
- 2-3 h out
- under 300 m of climbing
- no training required
On an e-bike, one physical grade lower is often enough: ask us.
Active
Half to full mellow day: we pedal, but the pace leaves time for the view.
- 3-5 h out
- 300-700 m of climbing
- occasional exercise is enough
On an e-bike, one physical grade lower is often enough: ask us.
Sporty
A proper MTB day: hours in the saddle, real climbing, punchy sections. You need juice, not a palmares.
- full day, 5-7 h including breaks
- 800-1'200 m of climbing
- regular sport, endurance follows
On an e-bike, one physical grade lower is often enough: ask us.
Enduring
Big days or back-to-backs: climbing stacks up and the pace stays high.
- 1'500 m+ of climbing, or several days in a row
- regular training
- fast recovery is part of the game
On an e-bike, one physical grade lower is often enough: ask us.
Between two grades? Halves (2.5) exist: aim higher if you are fit, lower if you are coming back.
Not sure? Write to usWe will advise you honestly, even if it means suggesting mellower.See the full page
